In response to this, thousands of people who have so far staged protests erupted in anger, and on December 16, 1773, they shipped the British East India Company’s black tea and climbed up the Dartmouth, the Big Beaver, and the Eleanor and threw over 300 boxes of tea into the sea. This was the Boston Tea Party that made history.
