Essay on Community Problems Essay
She is me and I am here
Dearly beloved, I have gathered you through a letter to give you a description of how my generation was severed. See peace on these streets is a paper line thin, I am a witness. Bang, bang. That’s the music our feet dance to When fear chases us down with a warm hug. Children lose their lives before they are legally grown. Generations norm, The sound of the soil on their coffin cripples my chest. The knot in my throat was too large to hide, so I cried. Father’s absence transforms into a black hole of rage, which leaves our brothers’ hearts bleeding toxic under their ribcages. Vulnerable to any relationship so at first glance they fall blindly in love with gangsterism. But this type of love came at a price like terms and conditions. They are too lazy to read through the fine print DO OR DIE. They carry guns and kill for fun. Sisters in a perfect meth story their eyes are puffed because they feed off scraps of love, like a pest to a flower it sucks the life right out of them, beauty fades, and bodies not their own. While mothers cry the sun shone dry their eyes and drowning in sorrow begs and borrows to survive. What more can I say? Before people see that the cycle is vicious A generational curse that needs to be broken.
We are broken and broken as our pocket holes. Walking on the ground with shoes with no soles, heels licking twigs from a family tree rooted in poverty, Trunk so thick hungry stomach filled with bricks.
There is no pot of gold at the end of this rainbow Cant you see this is no magic show stop feeding your soul lies circumstances a present wrapped with a Bowie, praying on knees weak as water hope empty and faith becomes shorter? A God so omnipotent Just not in your struggle, hell be knocking and our hearts will be in a bubble all night we make our beds, swim, and throats an open tomb. Waiting for eyelids of the morning. We wake up, and we can move and stand. Look around we’re lost! Because our community is the best at hiding and seeking you will have to look under a microscope for lost footprints. Seeing young girls running after their dreams breathes out of pace time and time again they lose this race. Education is the key but no door trace, maybe their shoes are too old that’s why they never asked you to walk in theirs. Years of hard living frustrate them making their bones fragile and numb but still, they walk to the beat of their drum. Dragging hearts filled with chameleon-like pain they are the anchors of their homes piggybacking family frustration but too often they are handled carelessly like sand they soon become the sandman the same sand you dust off your shoes it hurts! Soon her belly cramps because the baby wept and on that hospital bed resentment silently slept the nos of a father who left her with a child causing regrets piercing into her ribs that rattle as anger steam over like steam from a kettle blue becoming the color of her world as she waves goodbye to her Bundle of joy because she was still a child. Indeed, her belly is like a wine that has no vent tongue guarded by corrupted teeth, but she can’t speak, so she can find relief her stomach swallows apologies because her body is not her own so leave her alone. You stretch out your hand beating an electric fist into her, but I see no healing her skin grows black and blue and falls from her, she goes about mourning but not in the sun, she tries to stand up in the assembly of her thoughts and cry out for help but lays her hand over her mouth. Don’t you see her pain the speck in her eyes? Most months she can’t even buy a sanitary towel for the suffering around her thighs. But still, you tiptoe behind her to strike when she is off guard.
Many people believe that our government should do more to solve our problems. Yet, when we expect our government, rather than ourselves, to come up with solutions for our community, we have walked down a path that leads us away from being self-reliant and independent. Why can we not affect changes in our communities to everyone’s benefit when it is within our abilities? These community problems would ultimately distract the government from focusing on national problems. Indeed, each community must be more responsible for its problems, for example, education, gender-based violence, gender inequality, the lack of sanitary towels distributed to young girls, and the oppression of women even when we live in a world where men and women coexist.in my community, cases of gender-based violence are very rampant and women’s oppression overshadowed community problems. Educate our girls and women! Mentorship programs may be set up by the local community using donations so that girls and women may have free recreational activities to keep them occupied. Apart from relying on mentorship, elder women in our community must realize that they are also responsible for the molding of young girls. By spending more time with young girls than women to women talk and caring about their personal lives, parents may play an active role in decreasing the rate of teenage pregnancy the teenagers would have adults to turn to when they meet financial and psychological difficulties. Apart from preventing teenage pregnancy, parents ‘care may also help improve the education of the next generation. Good teachers are also essential. Girls may gradually feel lost due to the inability to cope with stress, view themselves as failures, and see no sign of hope in life. As a result, they may turn to other activities for a taste of self-satisfaction. Invest in youth centers to provide appropriate, safe helpful, and creative methods such as high-tech facilities including computer programs, animations, movies, and audio Health care and financial support. Increasing young girls’ awareness of how to protect themselves. Advertisements and lectures by community care workers may raise awareness so that young girls Menstruation is not a choice but sex is While Health facilities give condoms they can moreover also distribute sanitary towels. In our lives, many problems are waiting for us to solve. Whether it is within our ability or not we must try to take part in solving them. If the community problems are not solved by us, it would eventually become unmanageable for us, and it would land as the government’s burden. This would ultimately distract the government’s original priorities, and affect the entire country. We also can solve our problems; it is only whether we wish to handle them or not.
