John Winston Lennon came into existence on October 9, 1940, in Liverpool, United Kingdom. John’s father departed from him when he was just 5 years old, leaving Julia annihilated. John wasnt raised with two parents; his mother was all he had. Julia was a part of the start of Lennon’s musical ability by teaching him how to play the piano and banjo and she purchased Lennon’s first guitar. On July 15, 1958, Julia was fatally struck by a car driven by off-duty police at the age of 44 (Lennon), John was devastated. John remained in his musical ability, he continued to play the Guitar, On the contrary, His aunt Miami once famously told him The guitars all right John, but youll never make a living out of it( Lennon ). Disinterested in what John’s aunt said, when John plays the Guitar it reminds him of his mother.

His teacher had confidence in John that he would get into art school because he was very good at drawing. John was sixteen years old when Elvis Presley’s explosion onto the rock music scene inspired a young John to create the skiffle band called the Quarrymen, named after his school ( Lennon). Literary analysis
John Lennon’s song Imagine is based on many themes the song Imagine reflects on a dream he wants the world to realize, a world without problems. In the song Imagine Lennon references repetition, its repeated three times Imagine all the people Its emphasized on his invitation to his listeners. In 1 Stanza Line 1-5 Lennon asked the audience to imagine a place where there is no heaven or hell. (Lennon) The idea behind his theory with the intention that people have different viewpoints on religions that can turn into diversity theres, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc., and because of different religions it causes people not to unite as one. In the song Imagine Lennon uses repetition, diction, alliteration, and parallelism to help us comprehend a place without violence or war to live as one.
Religion leads to enmity and division among the people even among countries. Lennon’s opinion on religion is that life after death has no reality or proof it shouldnt be imagined where heaven and hell should exist and replace enmity with peace for all prosperity. Lennon uses imagery in the third line he references the sky, as the audience looks at the sky above there is nothing no heaven, but only the sky to leave aside the aspect of what has been prescribed to us as a myth. In lines 5-6 to gather and consider the world as the terminal reality and live for today in stanza 1 Lennon uses heaven and hell to symbolize a myth. All Lennon wants his audience to do is Imagine. In Stanza 1 lines 1-4, we understood to exterminate the comprehension of religion.
In Stanza 2 Lennon further explicates his lyrics, imagine a place without countries and religion those two forces bring diversity that brings adversity among us. Lennon wants us to visualize that if those two dividing forces did not exist, all people would be living in peace. In line 8 Lennon believes its a simple take to visualize his point of view. In Stanza 3 obviously, not everyone obtains Lennon’s message the setting and time of the song correlate with the era of the Vietnam War, this very meaningful song, brought about during one of the most critical times in our history. The Vietnam Conflict was fighting a war that wasnt theirs, and consequently, it was leaving hundreds of thousands of dead innocent people at the time. (Lennon). In Lines 14-13, Lennon was not unchaperoned he had Yoko Ono, who was the co-writer, because of her influence and inspiration on the song when many people joined him, he believed the world would reunite as one and peace and prosperity would prevail in line 15-16.
In Stanza 4 Lennon challenges the audience in lines 17-18 to intentionally stop being rapacious but contrary to that to aim for a motive. It puts the audience to scrutinize themselves and meditate on their own lives, and what they are doing wrong. In Lines 19-20, Lennon uses parallelism to talk about material possessions, material possession draws in greed which leads to Capitalism, which follows diversity which separates the low class from the high class, which produces ignorance. Lennon introduces a brotherhood of man which is a great diction, that reveals the potential for all people throughout the world to be united. (Malik) In Lines 21-22, An Enjambment is found at the end of the line of stanza 4 with the word you but the sentence continues to the next stanza.
In stanza 5 the final stanza In lines 23-26 this song is about a great expectation of someone toward peace in the world. The last stanza of the song develops the theme further; I hope someday the people and the world will live as one (Lennon) In Lines 23-24 is a repetition of a chorus by Lennon using alliteration though he is a dreamer, will too join him someday and you will see the world will be as one also an Alliteration. Lennon imagines a world without two aspects countries and religion, because he believes those two focus on bringing adversity into our world today and draw differences and divisions in how we may think. In Lennon’s tones, he tries to provocative an atmosphere to listeners to just imagine a world without heaven and hell or countries but to unite themselves as one
Reflection
John Lennon was inspired by Yoko Ono to write the song imagine the era was a difficult time it was the Vietnam War. It was a massacre and Lennon was touched by one to write a song. Lennon wants us to comprehend there is no heaven or hell for religious purposes, and peace, and unity for Country purposes. Those aspects brought diversity to the world Many kills and protesting took place when this song was written, and John began protesting for peaces hosted bed-in he would never cut his hair until peace was solidified. Many people didnt agree with him, but he was never alone his wife would always keep him company. Lennon and Ono have been through a lot of kills Lennon’s mother has affected him.
My author’s work is still relevant today the song Imagine has inspired a lot of people. Several human rights campaigns were touched such as the Imagine Theres No Hunger campaign, an idea on food egalitarianism. Lennon was an influential advocate of egalitarianism and peace and was one of the few who believed in such principles. In today’s society, the song Imagine is impactful it became an anthem for peace and so all people can come together and unite. The song Imagine was recently used in UNICEFs campaign to appeal to and challenge the children to face in this world to help raise money in this organization. (Iaccino). Lennon sparked the world with his song which is still relevant today. Where Lennon was killed Imagine is written in Central Park as the memorial of his death. The ‘Imagine’ verses are a song of praise of harmony activists and hold solid imagery on account of the way Lennon’s death happened.
Jean Julian wrote a book on the song Imagine the book was published on September 21, 2017, it has 32 pages. Julien acquaints another age with Lennon’s song of praise for harmony. Joined by content from ‘Envision,’ energetic pictures delineate a fearless pigeon flying about the city and conveying olive branches to support concordance. Enormous, level, and thick-lined, the innocent style delineations pass on the suffering message of the melody in an organization that will resound with a youthful group of spectators. For instance, a couple of seagulls quarreling about a fish (‘Nothing to execute o for, /and no religion as well’) start grinning after the pigeon gives them a branch (‘Imagine every one of the individuals/living in harmony’): a straightforwardand cuteapproach to show the ability to beat dissension. Afterward, the pigeon rests in a tree (‘You may state I’m a visionary’) as different feathered creatures, contacted by the pigeon’s activities, fly via conveying parts of their own (‘yet I’m not alone’). A beautiful spread of the pigeon hanging his wings around different flying creatures underscores the general message: ‘I trust some time or another you’ll go along with us/and the world will live as one.’ VERDICT Adults will appreciate this inventive interpretation of a darling melody, and the book can without much of a stretch mix with exercises about participation and sharingand even age-proper exercises on worldwide clash
