It was during her time here that she fell in love with volleyball and committed herself to the game. Her high school career was a very impressive one. By the time she left, she had been named a Volleyball Senior Ace and came in at No.17 on the list. She was also part of a Three Rivers League Championship-winning team in her junior and senior years. For the 6A OSAA Tournament, her team also grabbed third and fourth positions in her junior and final seasons respectively.

After high school and still refusing to leave her home state, Taylor Agost gained admission into the University of Oregon in 2014. Here, she joined the womens volleyball Ducks team in her first year. Her freshman season started well and saw Agost make 17 appearances. However, she started just 4 of those as her season was hampered by injuries. Her sophomore season was much better. She played in a total of 20 games and made 12 starts. At the end of the season, she had averaged a record of 2.69 kills per set, ranking her third on the team.

Taylor would go on to honorable mentions from the AVCA All-Region, and the All-Pac-12 after she had been involved in 110 out of a possible 117 sets. Her junior season saw her rank 2nd on the Ducks team and finish in 8th position in the Pac-12 with a hitting percentage of .327.

Taylor Agost bowed out of her collegiate career on a high in 2017, thanks to her terrific senior season. She was again selected as an All-Pac-12 and AVCA All-American honorable mention. She also made the PrepVolleyball Second-team All-American team.

Her performances in college had grabbed the interest of many teams both at home and internationally. And in June 2018, the Ladies in Black Aachen came calling.
