Best Learning Environment in Pre-School Setting
The learning environment plays a significant role in the learning process. This is due to the fact that it dramatically affects the concentration and motivation of students and should take care of maintaining their well-being and safety. Therefore, this work compares the learning environment, green and orange classrooms, to determine which one is more suitable for teaching students and improving the outcomes of the educational process.
For the evaluation of classrooms, a Literature Environment Checklist was used, with the help of which the strengths and weaknesses of each room were determined. Thus, it was determined that both classes have a good and informative book area, and all the materials provided differ in complexity and subject matter. It is vital since reading for pleasure can benefit a childs education, social and cognitive development, their wellbeing, and their mental health (Collier). In addition, it is noted that less than fifteen books are readily available to children, and moreover, in both rooms, there are places for children to listen to recorded books/stories. However, despite the similarities, the green classroom had some advantages. Hence, among them, there was great accessibility and visibility, which is especially important for students.
In conclusion, a green classroom is a more prosperous and productive choice as a learning environment. This is due to the fact that it provides a substantial number of different books that can be useful in the educational process. In addition, it can be noted the presence of well-developed materials for writing and the presence in the classroom of various prompts and tools to motivate students. Maintaining and ensuring these aspects provides an opportunity to improve the processes and effectiveness of training.
