Creating and Interpreting Culture Artifact
Influence of Culture and Artistic Expressions on Human Thought and Behavior
Culture and artistic expression have a profound impact on human behavior and thought. Art and culture can influence human conduct because it causes people to contemplate and express emotions like empathy and creates associations that reinforce positive ideals. It is possible that the artwork under consideration, Van Goghs first steps after milling, will impact how people think and act going forward because it contains a visual message. The urge to understand the artifact catalyzes thought, and the information gleaned from it ultimately influences ones actions.
Collaborative and Individual Efforts Reflection of Artifacts
The artifact being reviewed reflects the collaborative and individual efforts that went into its creation. Van Gogh had become a consenting patient at the Saint-Remy asylum, which led to his involvement in manufacturing the artifact. The painting went through several stages, and according to a historical examination of the item, Van Gogh was involved in making the artifact. In this particular instance, the teamwork that took place was demonstrated by the painting being created using an image of Millet, the artists brother, which Theo had supplied to him.
In the end, it is the artists interpretation and creativity that form and craft this artifact. The artist managed to the square from Theos black and white photographs and took it even further onto canvas; then, there was an additional upgrade by adding color to this photograph (Breedlove & Gensheimer, 2019). An interpreter can discover cultural and personal experiences in the piece after it has been enhanced and creatively finished. For example, this item shows a little girl trying to take her first steps, which reveals how much cultural predisposition there was and how much they valued taking that first step. It is clear from the artifact that the father is welcoming his children with wide arms, demonstrating a strong belief in a strong family structure as a foundation for joy.
Usage of Creative Process in Relationship-building, Problem-solving, Social-and Self-awareness Skills
The artifact under discussion resulted from many creative abilities put to use. When Van Gogh received a black and white photograph from his brother, Theo, he improved it to create a more visually pleasing relic. He improved the photographs color and contrast using oil paints and a canvas. When artists add color to a painting to improve it, they demonstrate their ability to solve problems creatively (Breedlove & Gensheimer, 2019). These nonverbal hints, painted all over the item, are an excellent way to start a relationship. The artifacts vibrant colors and depiction of a loving family bind the observer to the artist. As a result, the artist gains self-knowledge and social awareness by anticipating how the artifacts viewers will react.
The artists methods and practices can be adapted to ones projects. A few examples of issue solving, relationship building, and self- and social awareness abilities include the use of creativity, non-verbal indicators, and anticipating the reaction of your target audience. If, for example, a symbolic artifact designed to link and engage the target audience while conveying a message about the necessity of vaccines is created, it can help people understand the progress vaccine technology has made and become vaccinated.
Ways in which the Interpretive Process can be Collaborative
When preparing for this discussion regarding artifact creation and interpretation, a close friend and I chatted to discover some aspects of how an interpretative process could be collaborative. A group of people expressing ideas tends to affect each other, especially when interpreting an artifact. In addition, while trying to understand an item under study, ones interpretation was that it was meant to convey a societys view on family life, in which fathers were seen as protectors of their wives and children. Lastly, mother and child were seen as symbols of care and protection (Breedlove & Gensheimer, 2019). But the interpretation of a friend was persuasive, especially after mentioning that the artifact shows the progress of the health sector, particularly in vaccines that protect mothers and children, as seen in the artifact.
