Gores Flat Structure Works Well

It should primarily be mentioned that it is surprising that an organization without any structure or hierarchy can achieve the described amazing results. This is primarily because, usually, in order to attain goals and improve performance, there has to be a system that operates and drives the organization in a company. Considering the fact that Gore is successful without any structure, informality becomes a core element. By putting emphasis on collaboration, trust, respectful relationships, and commitment, Gore achieves positive outcomes in sustaining brand reputation, high profits, and, last but not least, employee loyalty.

Based on the description, it is clear that Gore is an organic organization. This type of company can be defined as an organizational system that is informal, flexible, and places all its employees at an equal level (Bhasin, 2020). For instance, the discussed business has two titles, no departments, and no formal job descriptions. They prefer an atmosphere where management treats staff as peers and highlights the importance of building relationships and working collaboratively. Therefore, Gore is the prime example of an organic organization.

Even though I do not believe that a flat organizational structure is a good choice for organizations that want to achieve their goals and improve performance, it seems to be working perfectly for Gore. A flat structure does not have any specific levels of management and staff. I believe that one of the benefits of such a structure is that all individuals in the company have a feeling that they have enough power to contribute to change. They are not limited by tiles or position; thus, they are not afraid to present new innovative ideas to the top management.
