Healthy People 2030 and the Health Education Code of Ethics

Achievement of Healthy People 2030 objectives is vital for the improvement of the health of the nation. For this reason, today, specialists should be prepared to be ready to function within the proposed framework and facilitate the achievement of the primary goals (Thomas, 2017). Health educators also play an important role in this process as they are responsible for educating, maintaining, and improving the health of individuals (Berge et al., 2018). Healthy People 2030 offers the idea that the gradual improvement of public and community health is crucial for the future of the sphere (Healthy People 2030 Framework, n.d.). That is why health education specialists are obliged to move forward in accordance with the code.

Another idea of the code of ethics is that health education specialists should be involved in training and preparing new health workers, who will be responsible for promoting improved health among individuals (NCHEC, n.d). It means that the objectives of Healthy People 2030 emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement can be linked to the preparation of would-be specialists and their readiness to achieve the desired goals.

In such a way, it is possible to conclude that both Healthy People 2030 and the Health Education Code of Ethics are linked to each other and are designed to pursue a similar purpose (Hansen et al., 2018). It also means that modern health educators have to do their part and facilitate the achievement of Healthy People 2030 objectives by observing the basic rules and preparing new specialists. The latter would be able to contribute to the overall improvement of the situation. The existence of these two frameworks is a part of the modern healthcare sector and helps it to move forward and meet existing demands.
