You are a board-certified behavior analyst with your own therapy space.
For this Activity, create visual prompts to elicit a target behavior: Can build in any program that supports making graphics that can look like a sign. Word, powerpoint, google docs etc..
FIRST: A brief scenario must first be included that calls for the need of a job aid as opposed to training, management of resources, or the use of consequence-based interventions. You may use a scenario from your own experience, but you are not limited to this. In other words, you may, for this activity, create a fictional but applicable and course-appropriate vignette. A behavior therapist often has to have signage in their therapy space to remind/prompt clients to remember to have/do certain positive behaviors. If you are working with a non-verbal child what visual prompts would you put on the wall to help them remember to use certain behaviors?
SECOND: Then create 3 visual job aids in the form of signage to help prompt the behavior you want to see in the scenario you created above. Points will be awarded based on the salience of the designed job aid, as well as the specificity of the job aid. In other words, these signs should stand out on a white or off-white wall, and should be specific enough to prompt the target behavior, but not overly detailed or complex. As noted in Warman et al. (2019), humor can be included to increase stimulus salience. Points will be lost however, if the humor does not fit within a professional setting (e.g., contains profanity, references adult themes, etc.).
