The purposes of these reform efforts run the entire spectrum of rationalizations, from “improving efficiency” to “eliminating bureaucratic despotism.” From the internet, find an administrative reform initiative which has been proposed during the last 30 years. Summarize the apparent purpose of this effort, the agency or agencies targeted, along with the essential features of the reform initiative. Then, analyze whether this initiative was a step the right or wrong direction as well as the ultimate fate of the initiative. One rule, everyone must find a separate initiative. Discuss your findings and conclusions with your peers.
