Dear Writer,
This is a 1500-word research report that needs to be written. However, I am in a group of four students, so the task is split into four. Thus, you should write a maximum of 400 words for this task. I have chosen 3 Australian CIAs for this task. Pick any two of the three that you like and use it for this task. You must include 2 annotated references.

Grant: Optimising radiopharmaceutical therapy to improve clinical outcomes in advanced prostate cancer: They will lead innovative clinical trials focusing on PSMA-targeted radiopharmaceuticals for prostate cancer. By analyzing trial scans and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), they aim to understand why some patients respond better to these treatments, ultimately improving therapies for advanced prostate cancer.

The grant title “Decoding the epigenome of the tumour microenvironment for improved patient outcomes in prostate cancer” is focused on studying molecular changes, specifically in the epigenome, within the environment surrounding a tumor. This research aims to better understand how these changes influence prostate cancer and to use that knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

The grant title “Developing novel CAR T cell therapy approaches to treat prostate cancer” is related to molecular biology. CAR T cell therapy involves genetically modifying a patient’s T cells at the molecular level to enable them to better recognize and attack cancer cells. This research focuses on creating new methods to enhance this molecular-based treatment for prostate cancer.

The Task:
Each group is to complete a Research Report that clearly and concisely summarises the research topic from the computer classes that relate to a particular cancer, disease, or condition. The maximum length of the text narrative to be 1500 words. Figures legends, tables, in-text citations, references, and reference annotations do not count towards this word limit. NO COVER SHEET An assignment cover sheet is not required since the electronic submission of the assignment through Turnitin covers issues of authenticity and associated declarations previously stated on the Cover sheet. One mark will be deducted if is a coversheet is included. TITLE PAGE Include a Title Page with the following information Title: Not More than 140 Characters Including Spaces Authors: Group Member Names Affiliations: Home campus and institution name Abstract: The abstract should be one paragraph of 200-250 words. It should be written in a more general style than your main text that is comprehensible to a general reader. Include background content specific to your subject area, refer to each section of your essay and include a concluding sentence. Do not include any references in in the abstract. The Title page does not contribute to the overall word count. A Western coversheet is not required. MAIN TEXT The main text of your Research Report should be structured to include four (4) sections. Use an informative sub-heading for each of these. Use a single column for the entire document – do not use multiple columns. Be sure to refer to any Figures or Tables in the main text when your narrative covers information represented therein. Each section of the review must include peer reviewed sources. FIRST SECTION With a meaningful title (~200 words): From an Australia point of view, clearly state the rational of why the research area is considered to be priority. What benefit does the research return in relation to the prevalence or severity of the disease in Australia? Include factual data taken from peer reviewed literature. SECOND SECTION With a meaningful title (~400 words): Clearly describe the research outcomes for the CIA listed Australian scientists. Describe how these different scientists are researching the topic using different techniques and approaches. Refer to the figure that you have constructed, e.g. as shown in Figure 1. Also do not forget to include an appendix section at the end of your report that shows the images/sources used to make the figure. Don’t forget to include a descriptive figure legend that describes all aspects of your figure, the figure legend does not contribute to the overall word count. THIRD SECTION With a meaningful title (~400 words): PAGE 36 Describe, or compare or contrast any molecular/cellular pathways involved in the topic area. If pathways for the condition are not documented in the literature then describe the current understanding of the causes of the condition at the molecular level (referring to individual genes, proteins or genetic factors etc). This section describes all aspects of the disease and condition from any of the peerreviewed literature you have found (including those who are not based in Australia) FORTH SECTION With a meaningful title (~400 words): Describe any targeted medicine or potential treatments for the cancer, disease or condition, focus on medicine that were developed through rational drug design. Discuss the medicine in relation to the key molecular pathway or genetic factors you have described. Highlight in the prior Figure where these act in the pathway or elsewhere the cell. Do not discuss none-molecular treatments suce as surgical removal, radiotherapy or other generic treatments. Note. You are encouraged to discuss potential treatments described in the research papers, these do not need to be available in the clinic. TAG YOUR IN-TEXT CITATIONS Double check that the reference you have collected include at least the following for the Research Report. Refer to this as the 8+4+8+1+2 rule. Added these together to give the Research Report a minimum of 23 references in total. Use the Author Date format for intext citations and referencing based on Harvard style. For a guide to Harvard style follow this link: WSU Harvard style 8: [CIA] Include at least 2 Australian primary research articles for each group member with different authors who are CIAs in the NHMRC data. If there are 4 group members the report would contain papers from at least 8 different CIAs. 4: [REV] Include least 4 review articles related by keyword to these research articles. Each group member should contribute at least 1 review article. 8: [FOR] or [BAC] Include at least 8 research or review articles found by search forward or backward. 1: [BD] Include data from at least 1 referenced Biological Database. 2: [TM] Include at least 2 peer-reviewed articles that specifically report on Treatment or Medicine For the in-text citation of these references, include the above tags, make each tag coloured and bold to indicate the type of reference you are referring to. Example e.g. “It has been shown that foo is associated with the activity of bar (Smith 2022) [CIA] and this builds upon prior studies that show an increase in the severity of the disease in the absence of bar (Jones 2015) [BAC].” ANNOTATE YOUR REFERENCE LIST Include 8 annotations in your Reference List Include only one list of references. Within this single list annotate 4 of the [CIA] papers and 4 of the [FOR] or [BAC] articles. Use approximately 200 words for each annotation. These annotation are to inform the reader of the strengths of the papers or why you chose it in preference to another other paper you could have referenced, why was it better for you? Why was it relevant in your field of study. What is its relationships of the paper to other studies in the field?
1.1 Main Text First Section (400 words)
An excellent summary of both why funding was awarded in relation to the Priority Area’s and how benefit is returned from funding with respect to the disease.
Peer reviewed articles factual data – As many as you need to make the case.
50 words per person answering:

1.2 Main Text Second Section (400 words) – Everyone
An excellent summary of the impact of contributions made by Australian scientists towards understanding the disease.

1.3 Main Text Third Section: An excellent summary of the key molecular components involved taken from research data, wider literature and biological databases.
Talk about at least one in detail.
Describe, or compare or contrast any molecular/cellular pathways involved in the topic area. This section describes all aspects of the disease and condition from any of the peerreviewed literature you have found (including those who are not based in Australia)
yAn excellent summary of the key molecular components involved taken from research data, wider literature and biological databases.
Main Text Fourth Section: An excellent summary of up to date specific medicines that are in development or used to treat the condition in Australia. Treatments relate to the described molecular components.
Reference List (Annotated)

I provided the word limit for each section so divide that by 4. If you can create a nice diagram as well with figure legends and some figures/tables as well. Also a short 200 word abstract and a good title for our report. Figures legends, tables, in-text citations, references, and reference annotations do not count towards this word limit. PLEASE NOTE: As the word limit is short per person; you can include the rest of the information in the figure legends. For more information on what we have done as a group so far, please visit this google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16kYE_3SWgiXWpnvBl35wE6zxNGKiivcY1EEORJDryf4/edit?usp=sharing
I will use you again for the same task but an oral presentation. Thank you!
