C 2 Week 8 DQ 1
Using APA format and no AI answer this question with at least 1 reference and at least 150 words.
Doctoral learners commonly exert intense effort in choosing a topic; it requires a significant amount of time and focused effort reading literature from one or more fields of study. Looking back at the readings presented in this course and reflecting on the ideas presented there including the three new dissertation concepts introduced: Need for Study, Significance, and Theoretical Framework, how does reading literature and in particular reading a literature review section contribute to formulating a clearer understanding of these three concepts? Explain.

The doctoral learner conducts a widespread comprehensive investigation into diverse subject areas of scholarly articles when forming a literature review (LR) for their topic are written from a particular perspective or standpoint that belongs to the reviewer (Hart, 2018). While writing this LR the reader should be able to justify through written argument from the literature the question what is the need for the study? And inform the reader through the LR what significance each article used as reference in the LR holds to supporting both the need for study and its significance. The theoretical framework is a much more difficult area to express.
The theoretical framework considers research as it identifies the theories, models, and/or concepts the researcher will use to develop (Bridges et al., 2022). To synthesize information from within the literature and demonstrate how specific information highlighted in the review of literature informs and relates to the dissertation study (Bridges et al., 2022). The need of study, significance and the theoretical framework all tie into the LR.

The literature review is a dynamic process involving several examinations of existing research on a topic, ultimately resulting in a polished product that is included in a dissertation (Bridges et al., 2022). Reading literature, especially the literature review sections, is crucial in developing a clearer understanding of the concepts of Need for Study, Significance, and Theoretical Framework for a dissertation.
Exploring existing research allows learners to identify gaps in knowledge, inconsistencies, or unexplored areas in the field. Literature reviews synthesize past studies, highlighting where further investigation is required and enabling learners to justify their research purpose. Scholarly argumentation frames the need for research by identifying unanswered questions, helping learners move beyond personal curiosity to establish a meaningful research problem (Bridges et al., 2022).
Additionally, the literature reveals how previous studies have contributed to the field and addressed broader implications. This helps learners position their research as a meaningful addition, showing its relevance in addressing critical issues or advancing theoretical understanding. This process underscores how their research addresses pressing issues or provides innovative insights, reinforcing its importance to their field of study.
Theoretical frameworks are another essential aspect illuminated by literature reviews. By examining which theories have been applied and in what contexts, learners can choose or adapt frameworks that align with their research focus. Reviewing literature helps scholars connect theoretical perspectives to their research focus, providing a robust and coherent foundation for their study (Leite et al. 2019).
In summary, engaging thoroughly with literature sharpens understanding of these core concepts, providing the evidence and clarity needed to design a rigorous, meaningful dissertation.

I can’t download this book. I am trying. It doesn’t have to be that resource. It can be any reference. Just one reference has to be made in answering the question and one reference for each student response.
That source is optional. So any reference source is acceptable. That book is. It able to be uploaded. Let me know if this can still be completed.
