Data collection, measurement, and data-based decision-making can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the ABA treatment plan for ASD because we need to make sure all data collection contains validity. This is the most important part when taking data collection because this will reflect whether or not the ABA intervention strategies are working positively or negatively. Measurement is very important when rating the effectiveness of ABA treatment as well because you need to document how behaviors change over time and have that accurate scoring using continuous and discontinuous measurements.
My process for evaluation looks like taking the baseline data collection and comparing to the intervention data collection to find any trends or levels within each goal. I would firstly run an assessment on my client to see what they know. After that I would pick a program that will best suite them whether that be VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R, which in this case is ABLLS-R . It is the same as a typical data collection process because you are firstly always going to collect data on what everything looks like before you add intervention to it/ before anything has been put into action. A key difference with data collection is how you are collecting your data whether that be through cold probe/ errorless or trial by trial.
