Using your Bible and the textbook (Hays, The Message of the Prophets), create a Bible study lesson on the entirety of the book of Isaiah. Your task is to prepare three 30-45 minute Bible studies on the book of Isaiah (one lesson for Isaiah 1-6, one lesson for Isaiah 7-39, one lesson for Isaiah 40-66). Given the size of the book, you will have to be highly selective in the material your present. Your focus should be on the original meaning of Isaiah, the central message and major themes of Isaiah, key passages to discuss, and the book’s contemporary relevance for those you are teaching (i.e., how we should apply it to our lives today). The assignment should be 7-9 pages and should be completed in outline form (2-3 pages for Isaiah 1-6, 2-3 pages for Isaiah 7-39, and 2-3 pages for Isaiah 40-66); however, for each section, you should include a 2-3 paragraph summary of what you will teach and highlight.
Requirements: Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, Chicago or Turabian format with footnotes, 7-9 pages.
