This lab is designed to assess physical activity through the use of a fitness tracker or a smartphone application and through the determination of goals for the daily steps taken, distance travelled, and floors climbed. Exercise is important in the wellbeing of individuals and can be assessed through various fitness trackers based on the amount of motion during the day. As sampled below, this report describes the data collected within a one-week timeframe after which goals were set and strategies formulated to enhance physical activity. Progress is then compared with the baseline at the end of the process to determine improvement.
Methods
To obtain the initial data regarding the daily steps, distance, and number of stair flights climbed, a fitness tracker was worn for a week prior to the commencement of the intervention. After considering the baseline, goals were established to enhance physical activity. A second week was then completed in order to evaluate the effectiveness of these goals. Fitness tracker offered quantitative feedback and made it easy to quantify measurable progress which is essential in training process.

Discussion
The results of the study show a statistically significant increase in the levels of physical activity after the adoption of goal-setting strategies. The average steps per day augmented by 110.34, and the distance covered, by 109.61. Further, the actual flights of stairs that should be climbed also experienced a significant rise of 23.72%. From these findings it can be concluded that improving exercise adherence through goal setting roughly translated to enhancing daily physical activity.
The papers discussed show that monitoring physical activity can be a strong stimulus to achieve the physical activity objectives. Thus, fitness trackers facilitate individuals to track their activities, goals, and challenges, thus translating into enhanced motivational features and personal responsibility.
Furthermore, regular moderate exercise in the form of walking and climbing stairs for mundane errands, is known to be effective in promoting long-term health. Physical exercise has been reported to lower the danger of chronic illnesses including cardiovascular illnesses, diabetes and obesity . According to the World Health Organization WHO, adults should perform moderate intensity physical activity for at least 150 minutes in a week . Thus, this is a goal that can be easily tracked using wearable fitness gadgets, for instance, application on smart watches.
The level of physical activity demonstrated during this lab has followed the above recommendations, which leave no doubt that using a fitness tracker to set and achieve one’s objectives is one of the best ways to improve his or her quality of life now and in the future. Conclusion
This lab proved effective in showing how a fitness tracker can be used in monitoring and enhancing exercise. The gathered data revealed the effectiveness of the goal setting approach with positive changes to the daily steps, the distance traveled, and the number of flights of stairs climbed. The results provided evidence for the initial hypothesis which was that the use of a fitness tracker associated with tracking physical activity levels and can thus be used to promote higher levels of physical activity to reduce the prevalence of health conditions. Perhaps the key areas could be set for monitoring in the long term and with goals set for improvement, these could be kept up to par.
