But Malik is honest and states, “That he sometimes wishes that he wasn’t here.”

Emma must consider her mandated reporting responsibilities, particularly if Sarah’s alcohol use escalates.
Complicating these situations, Emma is aware of her responsibilities to balance confidentiality with her duty to act in her clients’ best interests. She is also navigating multicultural considerations, mandated reporting obligations, and the potential for unintentional harm by intervening in ways that could disrupt familial or cultural relationships.
