Background

The general medical and surgical hospital was established with the primary goal of serving the medically-underserved community in the city of Chicago. The management realized that there was a gap that needed to be addressed. However, the huge demand for the services has overstretched the facility. A significant number of those who visit the facility need emergency service to ensure that their condition is put under control to save their lives. When such a patient is forced to wait for over one hour before getting the attention of the relevant doctor, then the purpose of this facility is lost (Iqbal, 2020). The fact that some patients leave without service demonstrates the fact that they believe it has failed to meet their expectations.
