The purpose of the Chapter Review assignment is to help you summarize information covered in the course material. Think of this assignment as a tool to link what you learned to real life situations. It is especially useful for you to focus on complex concepts, terms, and subject areas. However, the primary goal is to assist you in learning how to develop and enhance social work practice skills used to work with older adults and their families.I. Chapter 3 (Be sure to submit a copy of the image or a direct link to the image)
Conduct a web image search using the phrase “Older Adults Active Aging”. Briefly describe the image and critique it in comparison to the definition of Actively Aging presented in Chapter 3. (This paragraph should include an introduction with an academic reference to support the topic of “active aging”. No “I” (first person) or personal statements.
II. Chapter 4 (Be sure to insert a direct link of information about your state’s advance directives)
Find information on advance directives for your assigned state (Iowa) and provide a short summary about the advance directives from your assigned state. What are the strengths and weaknesses of advance directive policy in your assigned state? Does your state acknowledge advance directives from other states? Does your sate honor Five Wishes (see handout and video in Learning Unit 5. Also, you must submit the link and/or document that describes the state’s advance directives. Include academic references to support your information. This paragraph should include a reference citation linked to the advance directives from your assigned state.
III. Read and respond to at least two reflective Questions instead of three. (You may select to use your reflective responses on Chapter 3 or Chapter 4 or one response to each Chapter.
IV. Conclusion (Conclusion should be a summary of both Chapter 3 & 4). Avoid using “I” or making personal statements. No “I” (first person) or personal statements.
